The Boxie order flow was designed from the ground up to be very simple.
1. Order comes in and gets automatically assigned to a locker
- The order is automatically assigned to an empty locker.
- The front screen displays the Customer name and status Preparing in yellow.
- The back screen displays the Customer name and Order number.
2. Staff member places order items and presses the Order-Ready button
- The staff member places the items from the back or the front.
- The staff member presses the Order-Ready button to signal that the order is ready.
- The locker screen displays the status Ready in green (LED lights turn green as well).
- The pickup customer or delivery person is notified via SMS (when applicable).
3. Pickup Customer or Delivery Person picks up the order
- The pickup customer uses the secure link to open up the locker.
- The delivery person uses the QR code or follows the on-screen instructions to open the locker.
4. Locker is automatically cleared and becomes available for the next order
- Once the order is picked up, the locker will automatically become available or take the next order on the queue.
